Bomi Kang is from South Korea. Although people often mistakenly think she is North Korean and/or Chinese, she was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Currently in her first year of the master of fine arts program in writing for dramatic media, Kang enthusiastically studies screenwriting to embrace Korean popular culture and explore the unknown history and culture of her country. She is also excited to learn new style(s) of filmmaking and writing that relate to the culture of other countries. Above all, Kang wants to leverage her experience as an Asian woman who has been studying in the United States for twelve years to write and make films for people who are seeking their path(s) in life.
