Argie Mendoza joined the Academic Advising Team at the College of Urban Affairs in February 2022. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology at Nevada State College and her master's degree in higher education at UNLV. Prior to joining the advising team, she worked as a First Year Recruiter where she focused on assisting students from CCSD with their transition to college. In addition to advising students, Argie teaches LDE 313 (Leadership & Social Justice). As an academic advisor, she aims to provide quality advising support so that students can build the confidence needed to navigate college and form significant decisions. She is excited to serve the students at UNLV! In her spare time, she enjoys trying out new places to eat or traveling.
