Biography

Dr. Ann Vuong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health. She received her MPH degree in epidemiology and her doctoral degree in epidemiology and environmental health at Texas A&M University’s School of Public Health. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Department of Environmental Health.

Dr. Vuong has studied environmental contaminants, including nitrates, nitrites, and nitrosatable drugs and their associations with adverse pregnancy outcomes, including preterm delivery, small-for-gestational age births, and birth defects. Her current work focuses on endocrine disrupting chemicals and children’s health outcomes, particularly neurodevelopment, behavior, adiposity, and thyroid hormone disruption. She is interested in applying advanced biostatistical techniques in order to examine health effects of chemical mixtures.
