Biography
Amy Mitchell has over 22 years of secondary math teaching experience in Indiana, Arizona, and Nevada. Amy began teaching in Nevada in 2007 and has participated in many committees. She assisted with writing common assessments for CCSD, reviewing test items for SBAC, developing an end of course item analysis for Nevada DOE, and reviewing items for the pilot of Illustrative Mathematics curriculum. She spent 8 years in the National Charity League with her two daughters volunteering for over 1,000 hours with many non-profit organizations in the Las Vegas Valley. In her spare time, she enjoys being with family, hiking, boating, cooking and cats. Her bachelor’s degree is from Butler University and her master’s degree is from UNLV, so she proudly supports Rebel students!
