Wednesday, March 5, from 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. in Greenspun Hall Auditorium

Internationally renowned journalist Yardena Schwartz draws on extensive archival research and wide-ranging contemporary interviews to tell a timely, dramatic story of the path from the 1929 massacre of Jews in Hebron in British-Mandate Palestine, to the "Al-Aqsa Flood" Hamas attacks on Israel in October 2023.

Schwartz will present the research findings published in her best-selling 2024 book, "Ghosts of a Holy War: The 1929 Massacre in Palestine that Ignited the Arab-Israeli Conflict."

Her presentation will explain how the conflict of today cannot be understood without putting  this century-old war into geographical and historical context.

Following her presentation, there will be a moderated discussion of the historical and contemporary issues raised.

The event is free and open to all; seating is limited so please reserve your seats through this form.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event through The Writer's Block or may be ordered directly through Schwartz's website.
