Provide tools for attendees to start their own student organization and university counseling center collaboration at their home institutions, including funding information.

  1. Demonstrate increased knowledge about approaches to reducing mental health stigma on college campuses.

  2. Provide potential questions and ideas to take back to administration and departments as appropriate.

  3. Provide a timeline of the Project Wellness and CAPS collaboration so attendees can gain insight into anticipated short and long-term goals.

President Keith Whitfield will be giving opening remarks.

About Project Wellness

Project Wellness, a student organization aiming to improve mental wellness at UNLV, has helped students mentally, physically, and culturally since its inception in 2023. With members being trained in certified peer education, suicide prevention, and skills for psychological recovery, they are equipped with the resources to reduce mental health challenges on campus. Project Wellness partners with the university’s mental health service, Student Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Data collected so far indicates positive outcomes for students. The organization’s development, short- and long-term goals, campus partnership with CAPS, and outcomes will be discussed during the webinar.
