UNLV Community Engagement Expo 2025 April 15

UNLV students, staff, and faculty are invited to join in the annual celebration of the university’s community engagement activity!

  • Date: Tuesday, April 15, 2025
  • Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Location: UNLV Student Union, Room 208

According to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching:

The purpose of community engagement is the partnership of college and university knowledge and resources with those of the public and private sectors to enrich scholarship, research, and creative activity; enhance curriculum, teaching and learning; prepare educated, engaged citizens; strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; and contribute to the public good.

Join us as we explore the many ways UNLV puts this definition into action, hear from colleagues actively engaged in this work, and connect with others to build or expand your community engagement campus network.

  • Visit the Poster Gallery to learn about UNLV student, staff, and faculty community engagement activities.
  • Hear from UNLV students, staff, and faculty about their community engagement work.
  • Participate in "lunch table discussions" about barriers to and impacts of community engagement work at UNLV.
  • Gain knowledge about campus resources available to students, staff, and faculty to help support their community engagement activities.

Lunch will be provided during the event. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Register today to join us! (Registration will close once event capacity is reached.)

Please reach out to Tamara Marino (tamara.marino@unlv.edu) if you have any questions. Thank you!
