Trauma Cue Alert: Confetti Cannons and Fireworks To Be Used During Homecoming Celebration Events

As part of UNLV’s homecoming celebration confetti cannons and fireworks will be used on the Maryland Parkway campus on Monday Oct. 21 and on Wednesday, Oct. 23. If you are unaware of the source, the noise accompanying these events could be alarming. As always, please remain vigilant about your surroundings and enjoy the celebration.

The events include:

  • Confetti Cannons will be used during the Kickoff Pep Rally in Valerie Pida Plaza scheduled to take place between 11:15 a.m. and noon on Monday, Oct. 21.
  • A two-minute fireworks display at the beginning of the annual Homecoming golf cart parade will be set off on the roof of John S. Wright Hall (WRI) between 7 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
