September is National Recovery Month

As we welcome September, we recognize it as National Recovery Month — a time to promote and support recovery from substance use and unwanted behaviors. This month, we celebrate the strength and resilience of those on their recovery journeys and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their needs.

In line with National Recovery Month, Student Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) is pleased to introduce our upcoming initiative: REVIVE - Recovery Evolved: Validating Individual Values and Experiences.

REVIVE aims to provide comprehensive support for students navigating recovery by offering a variety of resources and fostering a supportive community that respects and validates their personal experiences and values. This fall, we will be hosting workshops and working to advise a Recognized Student Organization (RSO) to enhance the sense of community for those in or considering recovery at UNLV.

We encourage you to refer students who might benefit from these workshops or the REVIVE student organization. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where students can thrive academically and personally while on their recovery journeys.

Please find the link for students to fill out an interest survey. If you or your students have any questions, please email revive@unlv.edu.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication to student health and well-being. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in supporting our students through their recovery journeys.
