Research Participants Needed for Shift-Work Sleep Study

Research participants, preferably those working night shift, are needed for our new shift-work sleep study! We aim to identify physiological and biological indicators associated with resilient vs. intolerant subtypes of shift workers; these indicators may be used to predict the risk of future cognitive impairment, such as with Alzheimer’s disease.

Shift workers, particularly those who work at night, are known to be at a higher risk for various health problems including sleep disorders and cognitive impairment in the future. However, not all shift-workers have these problems. Thus, we hope to find an early indicator sensitive enough to reflect the level of adaptation to shift work and to predict the risk of certain future health outcomes.

Participants will receive monetary compensation based on the number of activities and sleep studies performed. View our research study flyer and feel free to with friends and family! If you are interested in participating or have questions, email us at posaresearchteam@unlv.edu or call 702-895-5437.
