Reminder: Construction on the Lynn Bennett Early Childhood Education Center begins on March 31

Construction on the Lynn Bennett Early Childhood Education Center (LBC) expansion will begin on March 31 and is scheduled to be completed in June 2026. The expansion will add a new 6,900 square-foot building that includes classrooms, a parent resource center, shaded playground areas, garden areas, and a reconfigured parking lot. During construction, please be aware of the following impacts:

  • Access to the pedestrian walkways immediately adjacent to LBC will be restricted.
  • Please follow posted signage for your safety.
  • The west parking stalls in Lot O will be fenced off.
  • Construction activities will occur between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.  We anticipate noise from heavy machinery during the duration of the project.

Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change. We will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
