Reflecting on Student Activism & Preparing for the Fall – A Campus Compact Coalition Conversation Aug. 8

Over the past months, campuses across the country saw passionate and sometimes divisive interactions between students, administrators, and community members as we all grapple with ongoing wars and rising tensions. As these protests and encampments played out, campus administrations used different tactics to approach the issues.

UNLV faculty and staff are invited to join fellow practitioners in a Campus Compact Coalition Conversation to reflect on what is happening in higher education and how we can prepare for the fall.

  • Date: Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024
  • Time: noon-1 p.m.
  • Location: Virtual

This will not be a space to debate the issues, but will serve as an open forum to hear from colleagues about how their campuses deal with the aftermath and prepare for the future.

This event is free and open to UNLV faculty and staff through the university’s membership with Campus Compact. Advance registration is required.
