Professional Development Opportunities Coming in 2025!

Human Resources is pleased to announce exciting professional development opportunities coming in 2025 to help employees prioritize intellectual wellness in the new year.

New Program: Coaching Essentials
Management Training Academy graduates will have the opportunity to keep their learning going with the new Coaching Essentials program. In this six-session series, participants will  practice skills with one another and receive real-time feedback from facilitators. By the end, participants will be able to confidently apply coaching techniques to various workplace situations. Registration will open in January by invitation only.

HRPD Series
The HRPD series will be back in 2025 with two learning tracks - one designed for supervisors and one for all employees. Each track will offer sessions to enhance skills that directly relate to the work we do here at UNLV. Sessions will begin in February and include topics such as civility in the workplace, psychological safety, growth mindset, resilience and more. Watch for complete details and registration information in January.

Management Training Academy Spring Cohort
Registration is now open for the Spring 2025 Management Training Academy (MTA) cohort. The nine-week program is presented through a blended learning approach that includes live in-person and virtual seminars, interactive exercises, educational videos, and online coursework. Upon completion, managers and supervisors will have a robust foundation to drive team success. Visit the UNLV Management Training Academy website to register.

Streamlined Real Colors Scheduling
Registering for Real Colors sessions will be simplified in 2025. Departments will use the Google Appointment Schedule (GAS) function to help them identify a time for their session when they sign up. Real Colors is a four-color personality assessment and workshop designed to help people better understand themselves and each other. It creates a common language that helps improve communication and create an environment in which everyone’s motivations and perspectives are better understood. Sessions will be available from January - June. Visit the Real Colors website for more information.
