To celebrate the close of Filipino-American Heritage Month, the UNLV School of Nursing is hosting the Las Vegas premiere of the multi-award-winning documentary "Nurse Unseen" on November 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas. The film highlights the untold history of Filipino nurses and their impact on the American healthcare system. The film dives deep into the complex reasons behind the migration of Filipino nurses to the U.S. and examines the disproportionate effects of the pandemic on the Filipino-American community. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local health professionals.
