November 2024 Rebel Accessibility Hero

For November 2024, the UNLV offices of educational compliance and accessibility resources recognize Alethea Inns, Instructional Technology Support Specialist from the UNLV Office of Information Technology (OIT).

Alethea has been significantly and energetically connected to what is now the UNLV Office of Accessibility Resources since early 2021. Her first initiative with the Office of Accessibility Resources was related to WebEx/Panopto options. Alethea continued her partnership with the Office of Accessibility Resources on behalf of her colleagues in OIT, facilitating resources for UNLV's use of Anthology Ally in WebCampus, representing OIT on the the Executive Accessibility Advisory Board and opening pre-purchasing inquiries for ICT (information and communications technology) accessibility. Most recently, she coordinated Panopto-related captioning projects with OAR's participation and consultation.

Alethea is always willing to lend a helping hand and actively spreads the word about the importance of accessibility. She consistently keeps open lines of communication, reaching out to address accessibility questions and share valuable resources. Her dedication exemplifies our university’s mission to create an equitable and supportive learning environment.

For these and more, please join us in honoring Alethea as our November 2024 Rebel Accessibility Hero.
