Nexis Uni Upgrade Launches Today (July 5)

Nexis Uni, one of the most popular databases used for academic research by UNLV students and faculty, is scheduled to launch an upgrade on Friday, July 5.

The upgrade will include a new look and feel for the homepage, which has been optimized to support academic research. The look will include changes to navigation, but all the current features will remain accessible.

In addition, new tools will be available to provide an instant summarization of articles highlighting key insights on the content. The feature is designed to help researchers quickly understand the usefulness of long pieces in terms of their own research.

Another new feature launching with the upgrade is enhanced data visualization of search results, using techniques like tables, word clouds, and graphs. This new automated tool will enhance your ability to discover relationships and new findings between data.

Nexis Uni is an academic research database providing access to more that 17,000 news, business and legal resources. It is only available to UNLV students, faculty and staff.

If you have questions or need assistance with navigating the upgraded Nexis Uni database, contact the Libraries Help Desk or schedule a consultation with the liaison librarian for your subject area. Visit the All Library Databases webpage to explore the full list of databases available through UNLV Libraries.
