National Drug Take Back Day is April 26

Keep yourself and loved ones safe by bringing your expired, unused or unwanted medications to the UNLV SHC/FAST Center Pharmacy, where every day is drug take back day. Students, faculty/staff, and community members are encouraged to bring any medications that are expired/unused/unwanted to the UNLV SHC/FAST Center Pharmacy for proper disposal to help keep their homes and the environment safe.

The process is simple: just bring the medications to the pharmacy and drop them in the bright green "mailbox"-style receptacle located in the pharmacy lobby, located on the first floor of the Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC), during normal business hours (Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. daily for lunch).

Unfortunately, the following items are not accepted in the drug take back receptacle: schedule I controlled substances, illegal/illicit drugs, thermometers, inhalers, lotions/liquids, aerosol cans, needles/syringes/sharps, hydrogen peroxide, herbal remedies, vitamins, supplements, cosmetics, other personal care products, medical devices, or batteries.
