The MSI Task Force announces that we are kicking off the school year with part II of Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) Week!
We plan to reflect this year's theme Equity in Action: Empowering Communities, Transforming Education with a host of events meant to highlight, build awareness and expose the beauty of our various communities and cultures.
Building upon the spring 2024 events, we're planning the 4th Annual Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) Week PART II on Sept. 23-27, 2024. MSI Week will find its permanent home in the fall semester to align with national celebrations for Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Week and Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Week.
Current activities and events for Part II include:

Submit Your Event
Is there an activity or event that you or your department/group/organization would like to present during MSI Week Part II?
We welcome and encourage a variety of activities and events that embody the theme. We recognize there may be some overlap in activities/events, and think the more the merrier.
For departments/groups hosting or sponsoring a fitting activity or event during this week, please submit the information via the MSI Week Part II Activity/Event Submission and it will be added to the 2024 MSI Week Part II Calendar of Events.
In addition to submitting an event, there are a variety of ways that folks can still engage:
1) Promote the week throughout their respective department/group/organization in meetings, social media, and other interactions amongst students and employees
2) Donate funds/resources to the MSI Week Planning Team to contribute to the week's activities/events
3) Participate in the week long events as an attendee and or volunteer (sign up to volunteer here)
4) Educate the campus community and others to help holistically support the various cultural backgrounds on our campus
