Congratulations to Mary Simon for receiving the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award for June 2024. 

The nominator wrote:

“Mary has been invaluable throughout her tenure at UNLV as she serves students, faculty and staff within the SHC/FAST Center Pharmacy (located within the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the first floor). Mary is an exceptional pharmacist, leader, and supervisor of staff in the Pharmacy. She is knowledgeable, kind, supportive, caring and compassionate with all of the students, faculty, staff and community members she serves in her duties in the Pharmacy. In this new IDS role, Mary now also collaborates with the UNLV Division of Research, Clinical Trials Office, and many PIs from the KSOM and other departments on campus. Additionally, Mary is now also able to work with and provide care to members of the greater Las Vegas community who are participating in the drug research trials, often providing a new, potentially viable treatment option to someone with limited options for their medical condition.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month Award recognizes outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond to advance the mission of UNLV. The winning recipient receives a certificate and $150 to recognize their contributions. Nominations for the July award are due by the end of the month.
