Faculty, staff, and students are invited to join the Heterodox Academy Campus Community forming at UNLV.
Great minds don’t always think alike: That is the key message of Heterodox Academy (HxA), an organization committed to protecting open inquiry, promoting viewpoint diversity, and cultivating respectful conversation across differences. Broad inclusion is the goal. And UNLV now has a Heterodox Academy Campus Community. We welcome the participation of any and all.
UNLV, our country, and our world today all face numerous large challenges, from climate change to war in Ukraine and Gaza to racial disparities in wealth and health outcomes—and many others. Each issue is complex, its dimensions many. People with different starting points or different kinds of expertise bring different insights. We need all to make full sense of these problems and to devise intelligent solutions.
If you believe in this kind of inclusion and if you crave respectful engagement with diverse ways of thinking about the world, then consider filling out the UNLV/HxA Campus Community Interest Form to express interest or make inquiries.
