Getting Ready for President Biden’s Immigration Program For Undocumented Spouses of U.S. Citizens

The UNLV Immigration Clinic has produced a guide in English and Spanish for families who may be eligible for President Biden's family unity immigration initiative for undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens. The flyer warns against paying money to attorneys or "notarios" now, when the program is yet to be open to applications. But it advises eligible families to begin gathering the documents they will need to move quickly once it becomes available.

Through its Community Advocacy Office, the UNLV Immigration Clinic offers legal defense to unaccompanied children fighting deportation and people in immigration detention in Southern Nevada, and is one the leading defenders of immigrant rights in Nevada.

The clinic's University Legal Services program offers free immigration services to students at UNLV, where many students and their families may be eligible for the Biden Administration's new program. Faculty can let students know they are able to request appointments for immigration assistance online.
