Free Speech: How to Get Your Voice Heard on Campus

The Division of Student Affairs is hosting two workshops for students, faculty, and staff, about UNLV’s Guidelines for Scheduling University Facilities, which includes Partisan Political Activities, Use of Outdoor Areas, Outdoor Noise Policy, Posting Policy, and Policy for Advertising and Marketing on UNLV Grounds and Facilities.

UNLV encourages respectful dialogue on a wide range of complex and challenging issues, and we will continue to work together to ensure that individuals can safely exercise their First Amendment rights, in accordance with state and federal law and university policy.

The workshops will explore the First Amendment and related university policies. We will discuss how free speech is protected on campus, the balance between personal expression and institutional guidelines, and the resources available to support and navigate these issues.
