Faculty/Staff Horizon Virtual Desktop Upgrades Begin Sept. 30

UNLV Information Technology will upgrade virtual desktops using Horizon agent 8.4 to the new client over the week of Monday, Sept. 30. If you use Horizon virtual desktops:

  • You will receive a desktop notification indicating the upgrade is about to happen and have the option to click OK to begin the upgrade immediately or snooze the upgrade for up to 15 minutes. 
  • The upgrade should take less than 10 minutes and will require a reboot to complete.
  • If you are not logged in, the upgrade will proceed automatically. 

Please note only UNLV staff virtual desktops will be upgraded at this time, IT-managed virtual labs and virtual applications (e.g., RebelApps) are excluded.
