Door frame construction on Maryland Campus

Contractors have begun permanent repair work on door frames across the Maryland Campus. The work will include the buildings listed below. Please note these buildings are not listed in the order in which the work will take place. Facilities Management will notify building occupants before work begins in their building.

  • BMC - Lee and Thomas Beam Music Center
  • BPB - Robert L. Bigelow Physics
  • CEB - Carlson Education Building
  • CHB - Carol C. Harter Classroom  Building Complex
  • FND - Foundation Building
  • GUA - Greenspun Hall
  • HFA - Alta Ham Fine Arts
  • HOS - Hospitality Hall
  • MPE - Paul McDermott Physical Education Building
  • MSM/HRC - Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art / Harry Reid Center
  • SFB - Stan Fulton Building
  • SSC-A - Student Services Complex Building A
  • SSC-B- Student Services Complex Building B
  • TAC - Richard Tam Alumni Center
  • WRI - John S. Wright Hall

Work in learning, research, study, and teaching spaces will take place outside of business hours to minimize impact.

While work takes place there may be noise, odors, fumes, and bright lights generated from welding activities. Contractors will do most welding outdoors and utilize appropriate equipment to exhaust the smoke and fumes where necessary.
