Diversity Dialogues: Brown Bag Lunch Series Sept. 11

When: Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, noon to 1 p.m.

Campus Location: Student Union, Student Diversity Lounge, Room 135

Presented by UNLV's Office of Diversity Initiatives and the history department, this dialogue will discuss specific issues involved in supporting Jewish identity in diversity initiatives, drawing on UNLV's experience over the past year. It will introduce the concept of an "ethno-religious identity" rooted in diaspora history. Presenters will help develop a more robust cultural competency for serving Jewish students. This discussion will provide an opportunity to learn from both applied work at UNLV this past year and national best practices drawn from other highly diverse public institutions.
