Call for Nominations Reminder: UNLV Academic Advisor and Regents’ Academic Advisor Awards

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost is pleased to announce the opening of the nomination period for the 2024-25 UNLV Academic Advisor Award and Nevada Regents’ Academic Advisor Award. UNLV will award one (1) undergraduate advisor and one (1) graduate advisor award, each will carry with it a $1,000 stipend. Your assistance in identifying nominees would be greatly appreciated.

Upon selection of the UNLV undergraduate and graduate advisor awards, the UNLV recipients will become eligible for the Nevada Regents’ Academic Advisor Award that is given to academic or administrative members with distinguished records of student advisement by NSHE. Nominations, including the completed application packet, for the UNLV Academic Advisor Award and Nevada Regents’ Academic Advisor Award are invited through 11:59 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2024, via email to advising@unlv.edu.

All nominations must be submitted in writing on behalf of the advisor. Instructions, including the nomination form, guidance form and sample templates, can be found on the UNLV Academic Advisor Awards and Nevada Regents' Advisor Awards website

Eligibility: The award is open to full-time faculty (academic and administrative) who provide academic advisement as part of their regular assignments or who provide academic advisement as their primary assignments. Candidates must have at least five years of cumulative service in the NSHE by the date of nominations in order to be considered. UNLV recipients will be recognized at the UNLV Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony
