Call for Nominations: Administrative Faculty of the Year Awards

The Administrative Faculty Awards Committee is pleased to announce the Administrative Faculty of the Year Awards. The 2025 annual awards include four new categories to recognize exemplary administrative faculty. These awards will honor individuals who have consistently excelled in their roles and made a significant impact at the University. The four recipients of these awards will be announced at the Academic Achievement Awards Gala hosted by the President and Provost. The recipients will each receive a $1,000 monetary award, a feature article in UNLV Today, and a headline on the AFC website. Additionally, the recipients will be recognized at the Administrative Faculty Development Day. 

Administrative Faculty Employee of the Year Award, Rising Star

Full-time Administrative Faculty at UNLV for at least one year in their current position and less than five years of administrative faculty experience overall (by December 1, 2024). 

Administrative Faculty Employee of the Year Award, Operational Excellence

Full-time Administrative Faculty at UNLV for at least five years and two years in their current position (by December 1, 2024). Non-student-facing positions eligible. 

Administrative Faculty Employee of the Year Award, Student Service Excellence

Full-time Administrative Faculty at UNLV for at least five years and two years in their current position (by December 1, 2024).  Student-facing position eligible. 

Administrative Faculty Employee of the Year Award, Leadership Excellence

Full-time Administrative Faculty at UNLV for at least five years and two years in their current position (by December 1, 2024).  Supervisory role - supervises full-time staff (i.e., classified, academic, and/or administrative faculty). 

Must be a current full-time UNLV administrative faculty member at the time of nomination and have not won the award in the past ten years. Chief administrators of major units** are not eligible for nomination.

**Chief administrators of the University include the president, executive vice-president and provost, vice-presidents, associate and assistant vice-presidents, vice-provosts, deans, associate and assistant deans, or their administrative equivalents, as well as members of President’s Advisory Council and Academic Leadership Council.
