The official dedication ceremony for the Jean Nidetch Women's Center is scheduled for Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.
The center, located on the west side of the new Student Services Complex on the UNLV campus, will also hold an open house 11 a.m.-6 p.m. the same day. The public is invited to tour the facility and meet the staff. Refreshments will be served.
Weight Watchers International founder Jean Nidetch, who donated $500,000 toward the construction of the center, will speak at the ceremony, as will UNLV President Kenny Guinn. Gov. Bob Miller and Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones are also expected to attend.
