UNLV's Urban Teaching Partnership (UTP) will hold informational meetings for its 20002001 internship program on Feb. 1, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Carlson Education Building Room 315A, and Feb. 2 from 7-8 p.m. in Room 205.

UTP is a school-based, accelerated, post-baccalaureate teacher education program. The purposes of UTP are to prepare teachers for urban contexts, blend theory and practice of teaching, and offer experienced teachers professional development opportunities as mentors.

Selected interns work with mentor teachers for one year while attending UNLV classes and earning their teaching licenses from the state. For further information contact the Urban Teaching Partnership office at 895-1290.
