Students in grades nine through 11 can participate in academic training, drug education, and career exploration this summer as part of the UNLV Upward Bound program.
The Upward Bound summer session will take place on campus from June 11 through July 30.
To determine whether they are eligible for the program, students and their parents should contact William Sullivan, UNLV's director of academic advancement, at 895-4777.
For students who meet certain economic criteria, a balanced breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks will be provided at no cost.
Applications for the program are available now through the academic advancement office. Registration will take place June 6 and 7.
