Approximately 650 graduates are expected to participate in UNLV's Winter Commencement ceremony on Dec. 19.

The ceremony, which is open to the public, will take place at 3 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.

U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., will be honored during the ceremony. He will be presented with the President's Medal.

This is the second year UNLV has held a Winter Commencement. Graduates participating in the Winter Commencement are those who earned their degrees in August or December.
