UNLV's student government and campus community development student organizations competed in the 13th annual National Association for Campus Activities Far West Graphics Competition in Salt Lake City on November 11-14, placing in 20 of the 25 events in which they entered.
The graphics competition is designed to recognize students, staff and associate members who have designed outstanding promotional flyers, posters, announcements and other creative materials for a variety of programming activities.
Over all, UNLV dominated the Far West region competition, contributing over 70 percent of all the winning entries and qualifying UNLV for nation-wide competition.
The two organizations won first place in theme publicity for "Paint the Town Red," a publicity campaign for Homecoming 1995 activities. Individual Homecoming 1995 promotion took prizes, including second and third place in the multi-color printed literature category, third place in T-shirt design, first and second place in novelties, and first place for the new student homecoming mailer.
UNLV Student Government also took second place in theme with Scavenger Hunt. Within the theme won first place for the scavenger hunt T-shirt and second place for one-color flyer.

* Second place in T-shirt design with Student Government Interstate Road trip.
* Third place in one-color literature with Student Government Entertainment and Programming Logo.
* Second place in multi-color literature with Student Government Entertainment and Programming Logo.
* Third place in multi-color literature with Student Government Flyer Interstate Road Trip.
* First place in T-shirt design with Student Government Staff T-shirt E&P Logo.
* Second place in multi-color literature with Student Government E&P Event Pass.
* First place in multi-color poster, professionally design, with Campus Community Development's "UnityFest."
* Second place in multi-color poster professionally designed, for Campus Community Development's "Discover UNLV."
* Second place two-color poster, professionally designed, for Campus Community Development's "Rebel Leadership Series."
