The UNLV Wind Orchestra will present its second concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall on the UNLV campus.
As part of the performance, the orchestra will world premiere "Chunk," the title track from their new CD of the same name. The piece "Chunk" was commissioned by the UNLV Wind Orchestra from composer Jonathan Newman, who will be present as a guest conductor.
Other works featured on the program include compositions by Steven Bryant, Sir William Walton, Philip Sparke, Ron Nelson, David Gillingham, and Eric Whitacre.
Tickets are $5-$8 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center Box Office or by calling 895-ARTS (2787). Box Office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and one hour prior to performance.
