UNLV will welcome the newest members to the Class of 2019 at its Winter Commencement on December 17 at 4 p.m. inside UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center.
Approximately 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate in this December’s commencement, up slightly from last winter.
- Participants range in age from 19 to 80, and hail from 33 states, the District of Columbia, and 45 foreign countries.
- About 86 percent of graduates are Nevada residents and more than half – 64 percent – are from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
- The average overall age of UNLV’s Winter 2019 graduates is 27.
- Since 1964, UNLV has awarded about 140,000 degrees.
UNLV President Marta Meana will honor several graduating students during the ceremony for their outstanding academic and community achievements.
