UNLV Student Louise A. Roberts Wins $10,000 Scholarship

UNLV English major Louise A. Roberts has won the first-place $10,000 scholarship in the 2000 CollegeNET Scholarship competition.

She won the scholarship with her essay on the assigned topic "Precedents and Presidents: the 2000 Presidential Election."

Roberts, a 27-year-old senior from Asheville, N.C., will graduate in August. She plans to attend graduate school and work toward another degree in English.
