Las Vegas, Nev. - The UNLV School of Architecture Klai Juba Lecture Series presents a Night at the Movies at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30 in the School of Architecture Lecture Room. The film is "Berlin Babylon," directed by Hubertus Siegert. It will be introduced by Janet Ward, associate professor of history at UNLV. The screening is free and open to the public.

After the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, huge sections of the city were left an urban wasteland. This film follows the mammoth building projects around the Potsdamer Platz, the Lehrter Stadtbahnhof, the government quarter and the surroundings of the Alexanderplatz (former East Berlin). No other city in the world has seen an urban renewal project on such a scale, with projects by designers such as Rem Koolhaas, Renzo Piano and I.M. Pei.
