UNLV President Neal Smatresk will outline his vision for the campus during his annual State of the University address. Immediately following the address, university officials will dedicate the Science and Engineering Building (SEB).

The State of the University address officially kicks off the new academic year and offers an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments from the past year and set the path for the year ahead.
Tours and a formal dedication of the Science and Engineering Building will follow the address. The 205,000-square-foot SEB received a LEED silver rating for its sustainable design. With advanced themed laboratories bringing together faculty and students from various disciplines, the SEB was designed to encourage the kind of collaboration that can lead to new technologies and breakthroughs to diversify and bolster the Nevada economy.
