WHAT: UNLV President David B. Ashley will outline his vision for the future of the university and usher in a new campus tradition with the inaugural University Days Academic Convocation.

DETAILS: The academic convocation marks the start of the academic year, providing an opportunity to officially welcome students and faculty to the university and celebrate the founding of UNLV.

During the convocation, President Ashley will present his "State of the University" speech, stressing the core values of and direction for the next 50 years at UNLV. Additionally, he will communicate his strategy for focused planning, his commitment to research excellence and plans for the newly formed Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
