UNLV's Earth Day celebrations will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 10 on the campus mall. This year's theme is "Keeping Our World Together."
Teachers in the Clark County School District are invited to bring their K-12 students to the campus for the event. Community and campus nonprofit organizations and volunteer groups will participate with exhibits for the more than 1,000 children expected to attend.
In addition, UNLV will honor individuals and organizations for their efforts to promote environmental education and community service. The Earth Day Awards Ceremony will be held at the outdoor amphitheater in front of the Moyer Student Union at 9:30 a.m.
The events are free and open to the public.
