More than 500 students will be invited to join the UNLV chapter of Phi Kappa Phi honor society this year.
The top 10 percent of the senior class and the top 5 percent of the junior class received invitations to join this national honor society. A minimum grade point average of 3.7 is required.
The induction ceremony for the new members will take place at 6:30 p.m. April 6 in the Richard Tam Alumni Center.
Those students invited to join will receive letters this month from Phi Kappa Phi informing them of their selection and asking them to respond to the invitation.
Students choosing to accept membership must fill out the required forms and submit the forms, along with a $30 check made out to Phi Kappa Phi to cover initiation fees, to Brent Mangus, associate professor of kinesiology, no later than March 12.
UNLV students and faculty who joined Phi Kappa Phi at other universities are encouraged to take this opportunity to transfer their membership to the UNLV chapter.
