The Performing Arts Center at UNLV, Southern Nevada's premier performing arts venue for 30 years, has announced its 30 th Anniversary Season: "Our Greatest Performances."
Michael Feinstein will open the season as part of the New York Stage & Beyond series on September 23. Feinstein, a household name since the success of his one-man Broadway show " Isn't it Romantic," received his fourth Grammy nomination in 2003. The first-ever performer on the series, he returns to the Center with a program loaded with all-time favorites.
The New York Stage & Beyond series also offers the rhythm, color, and vitality of Spain with Ballet Flamenco Jose Porcel on September 28; the concert version of the Broadway musical "Jekyll & Hyde" on October 22; a holiday performance by Broadway star Betty Buckley ("Cats," "Sunset Boulevard") on December 3; exceptional young dance company Ailey(R) II on February 18; the hard-hitting and vibrant Jazz at Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra on March 11; and Vamps: An Evening with Bebe Neuwirth ("Chicago," "Cheers," and "Frasier") on April 22.
The Charles Vanda Master Series, the gold standard in Southern Nevada classical programming since 1976, welcomes bassist Edgar Meyer and violinist Caitlin Tully accompanied by the UNLV Symphony Orchestra on October 14; distinguished pianist Emanuel Ax, noted for three decades of elegant performances, with world-renown clarinetist Richard Stoltzman on December 6; the Budapest Festival Orchestra with Renaud Capu ?on, named New Talent of the Year in 2000, on January 11; quirky composer Peter Schickele with his hilarious "P.D.Q. Bach: The Vegas Years" on January 29; the Russian National Ballet in "Sleeping Beauty" on February 14; the Black Watch and the Band of the Welsh Guards (bagpipers, drummers, and highland dancers) on February 26; and the Grammy-winning Russian National Orchestra on Friday, March 24.
The certifiably unique a capella group Rockapella comes to the Center in the rocking season finale on May 20. Rockapella, often imitated but never duplicated, creates a heavenly vocal sound like no other quintet on earth.

Founded in 1976, the Performing Arts Center at UNLV continues to be Southern Nevada's premier performing arts venue. New seats, upholstered in luxurious UNLV red, will be installed in the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall (the Center's largest venue) prior to the 30 th anniversary season thanks to the generous support of 230 plus donors and UNLV.
