UNLV's Center for Workforce Development and Occupational Research will offer a "Train the Trainer" seminar for small businesses in the Las Vegas area. Three sections of the multi-day seminar will be held during the summer months:
? June 12-13, and 19.
? July 24-25.
? August 14-15, and 21.
The seminar, titled "Grow Your Own Employees," is designed to instruct trainers about the latest strategies and delivery methods used to teach adult learners in a corporate environment. Attendees will receive a complete 12-module curriculum that will help them train entry-level employees to develop basic workplace skills.
The modules can be used individually or together in any combination and are often used as part of companies' new hire orientation programs. Participants will also receive tailored instruction on how to adapt the curriculum to their organizations' needs. Upon completion of the seminar, participants will be certified to lead the training at their companies.
