UNLV School of Nursing online graduate programs continue to rank among the nation’s best, according U.S News & World Report.
The publication released its 2022 online programs rankings today, and UNLV Nursing’s online master’s program ranked 15th overall. The school currently offers three master's tracks — family nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health, and nurse educator — and has ranked within the top 30 each year since the publication began rating online nursing programs in 2012.
“As we witness the current crisis facing nursing and the strain our nurses are feeling, this honor is for all the Nevada nurses,” said Angela Amar, dean of the UNLV School of Nursing. “These rankings motivate us to keep pushing to be innovative and to elevate even more highly skilled and dedicated professionals entrenched in evidence-based education. Our master's program, like all our graduate programs, is a stepping stone to advanced nursing, to specialized care, and greater patient outcomes.”
UNLV’s overall bachelor’s ranking jumped to a tie for 147 after being ranked in the 256 to 337 grouping in 2021, and the university’s online bachelor’s programs also ranked 78th overall for veterans. Bachelor’s programs in psychology (41) and business (40) also cracked to the top 50. UNLV’s online bachelor’s degree in psychology is designed for students seeking a liberal arts undergraduate degree and those intending to enter advanced training in psychology, education, medicine, or related fields. The Lee Business School offers elements of many of its programs online, including a fully online degree program in entrepreneurship.
Each January, U.S. News & World Report ranks online undergraduate and graduate programs on various criteria, including engagement, faculty credentials and expertise, services and technologies that allow for flexible distance learning, expert opinion, and resulting student excellence.
