On Thursday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Nicolas Barker, editor of "The Book Collector," the leading English-language journal on book collecting will give a talk on "The Book: Past, Present and Future." Barker is a professor at the University of Virginia's Rare Book School and is the author of "Stanley Morison," "Bibliotheca Lindesiana," and "Aldus Manutius and the Development of Greek Script and Type in the 15th Century."
On Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m., award-winning children's and young adult author Susan Campbell Bartoletti will make a presentation and sign books. Bartoletti is the author of many non-fiction books, novels and "Hitler Youth: Growing up in Hitler's Shadow," which received the Newbery Honor Award for nonfiction in 2006, "The Boy Who Dared," "A Coal Miner's Bride," and "The Christmas Promise."
