The UNLV Lee Business School will induct the Englestad family, the Gibson family and former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman into the Nevada Business Hall of Fame as the class of 2012. The school annually honors influential business leaders in Nevada for their vision, leadership, passion and sense of community.

Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dinner and Hall of Fame reception begins at 7 p.m.

The Nevada Business Hall of Fame began in 2002 and is presented by the UNLV Lee Business School and Deloitte & Touche USA LLP. The hall has inducted 35 major business leaders from Nevada since its inception. The 2012 inductees include:

• Engelstad Family - Ralph Engelstad was the owner of the Imperial Palace and co-developer of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Engelstad Family Foundation has donated more than $217 million to philanthropic efforts, including $12.6 million to establish the largest active scholarship program in UNLV history.
• Gibson Family - The family of Fred Gibson, Sr. and Fred Gibson, Jr., who patented a method for making a fuel ingredient used in space shuttle launches. John Gibson is chairman of the board of American Pacific Corporation. James Gibson played a significant role in developing the city of Henderson while serving as Nevada state assemblyman and senator, and his son, Jim Gibson Jr., became Henderson's longest-serving mayor.
• Oscar Goodman - The former Las Vegas mayor served three terms and was credited with attracting new businesses to the city, revitalizing downtown and helping solidify Las Vegas as the entertainment capital of the world.
