Professors from UNLV's College of Liberal Arts will present a teach-in Sept. 20 on the topic of "Terrorism & the U.S.: Problems and Prospects." Discussions will focus on the recent terrorist attacks on the nation.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. in John S. Wright Hall, Room 116.
Jim Frey, dean of the College of Liberal Arts will moderate the event, which will feature short presentations by the each of the following faculty participants: Anne Bennett, assistant professor of political science; Barbara Brents, associate professor of sociology; Mark Floyd, assistant professor of psychology; Matthew Ray, assistant professor of sociology; Mehran Tamadonfar, associate professor of political science; Paul Werth, assistant professor of history; and the Rev. Bart Hutchinson. After the presentations, an open discussion will ensue.
