UNLV has hired attorney Marc Cardinalli to be the university's administrative code officer, President Carol C. Harter announced Monday (Dec. 29).
Cardinalli, who has served as an attorney for the University and Community College System of Nevada, will assume his new job Jan. 5.
As administrative code officer, his duties will involve ensuring compliance with all UCCSN code provisions, procedures, and deadlines.
"Marc's experience as an assistant general counsel with the UCCSN system provides him with excellent background for the administrative code officer's position," Harter said. "With his background, his learning curve for the new job should be minimal."
Provost Douglas P. Ferraro said of Cardinalli, "We at UNLV have worked well with Marc in the past and have been impressed with his efforts. We look forward to having him as part of the UNLV team."
Cardinalli, a graduate of McGeorge School of Law, previously worked in the litigation division of the Nevada attorney general's office.
