Two students in UNLV's Hank Greenspun School of Communication have been named to the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 1996.
Seniors Erin Niemeyer and Will Price were selected to be part of the annual listing that recognizes outstanding scholastic achievement as well as public service and campus involvement.
"We are very proud of the these students and couldn't be more pleased to see their accomplishments recognized," said Gary Kreps, executive director of the Hank Greenspun School of Communication.
Niemeyer of Redondo Beach, Calif., is concentrating on journalism and mass communication. She is the editor of the student newspaper, the Rebel Yell, a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.
Will Price of Los Angeles, Calif., is specializing in broadcast communication. He is a senator with the UNLV student government representing the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs and is a founder of the UNLV chapter of the Delta Chi fraternity. He is a member of the debate and forensics team and was named homecoming king for 1996. He has served as orientation leader and as resident adviser. Price has donated his senatorial stipend to a scholarship fund for communication students.
