Throughout the month of August, UNLV is extending the hours of its offices of Admissions, Registrar, and Student Financial Services to accommodate students registering for the upcoming fall semester.

The offices - which open at 8 a.m. - will now remain open until 6 p.m.

"We realize that many students work all day and that they need the convenience of the extended hours in the evening so that they have time to get to UNLV after work to register for their fall semester classes," said Stuart Tennant, assistant vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions.

"During the month of August, Enrollment Management will also be conducting a survey to assess students' on-going need for services in the evening," Tennant said.

UNLV's fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 27.

UNLV also is now offering Saturday morning tours of the campus to prospective students. The tours are held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and provide an orientation to the university and its many academic programs and student services. The tours begin at the Richard Tam Alumni Center.
