<b>American Politics and Foreign Policy</b>
Ken Fernandez , assistant professor of political science, can speak about public policy, public opinion and political behavior, and direct democracy. He teaches courses in urban politics, ethnic and minority politics, and policy studies.
Jonathan Strand , assistant professor of political science, can speak about the president's foreign policy, as well as issues related to international trade, the global economy and global environmental politics. He teaches courses in world politics, globalization, and international human rights.
<b>Economy and Tax Policy</b>
Steve Johnson , E.L. Wiegand Professor of Law, can speak about federal tax reform and tax policy. He is a nationally recognized expert in tax law, whose work has been cited by the United States Supreme Court and other federal courts.
Steve Miller , professor and chair of the economics department, can speak about the U.S. economy, including the nation's twin deficits, gasoline and energy prices, and prospects for continued growth or recession. His research interests include banking structure and performance, central bank policy, fiscal deficits and economic activity.
<b>Alternative Energy</b>
Robert Boehm , distinguished professor of mechanical engineering and the director of the Center for Energy Research at UNLV, can discuss alternative energy, including the efficacy of sources such as solar, hydrogen, geothermal, and others.
<b>Immigration Reform</b>
Leticia Saucedo , associate professor of law and co-director of the Immigration Law Clinic at UNLV's Boyd School of Law, can discuss President Bush's immigration policies. Prior to coming to UNLV, Saucedo worked for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund in San Antonio, Texas.
<b>Health care Reform</b>
Chris Cochran , associate professor of health care administration and policy, can discuss President Bush's health care proposals. Cochran is the author of several reports on the needs of the medically under-served population and the organizations that provide services to that population. His work has focused on management issues and quality improvement in public organizations.
